3 DIY Collagen Face Masks

Collagen is a superstar ingredient for a healthy, fresh face -- among its many other benefits. It can help strengthen, hydrate, and promote elasticity. In fact, studies have shown that collagen can even slow the aging process by promoting the production of other proteins like elastin and fibrillin that help form the structure of your skin. Let’s take a look at some DIY masks with a collagen punch that you can create at home!

For Glow

  • 1 scoop Skinny Bunny Collagen Peptides Powder
  • 1 Tbsp rice flour
  • 1 Tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp greek yogurt, or more as needed

Give that gorgeous face a glow up with this mask! Rice flour provides gentle exfoliation while honey’s antibacterial properties fight acne and help open up pores for a deep down clean and more even skin tone. Finally, turmeric is added for antioxidant power and greek yogurt works with it to reduce redness and puffiness caused by inflammation. To make this mask, simply mix all the ingredients together to form a paste. If the mixture is too thick, add some extra yogurt or thin it out with a bit of water. Then apply, leave on for 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water.

For Deep Hydration

  • 1 scoop Skinny Bunny Collagen Peptides Powder
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ avocado, mashed

For seriously dry, dull, lifeless skin -- use this collagen mask to give your face the drink it’s craving. Olive oil is not only moisturizing, but it also helps reduce redness, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation and can help block sun damage. Honey acts as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin. Lastly, avocado is chock full of healthy fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants to revitalize your skin. Mash the avocado and mix in all of the remaining ingredients until you form a smooth paste. Apply, let sit for 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water. And just like that -- instant facial thirst quencher!

For Sensitivity

  • 1 scoop Skinny Bunny Collagen Peptides Powder
  • 2 Tbsp aloe vera gel
  • ½ tsp rosehip oil
  • 1 Tbsp honey

This mask is great to hydrate and smooth while still being gentle enough for sensitive skin. Aloe vera gel is soothing while it tightens to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. Just be sure not to get the kind with lidocaine in it (which will numb your face!!) -- stick with all natural aloe vera only! Rosehip oil doesn’t get enough credit for how well it works to intensely moisturize and reduce wrinkles. It’s rich in vitamin C and various other essential fatty acids for brightening and acute hydration. Mix up this mask, slather it all over, sit for 15-20 minutes, and rinse with warm water.

These masks can be used once or twice a week to reinvigorate your routine and ramp up your skin’s longevity. Pick up some collagen powder today and give them a try! You’ll see results with consistent use after a few weeks.
