On-The-Go Smoothie Recipe

Mornings can be busy, with getting ready, walking the dog, taking kids to school, and everything else in between it can be extremely difficult to have enough time for breakfast.  Well that excuse ends today!  We have two great smoothie recipes that can be made fresh in the morning or the night before for an easy breakfast every day of the week.  


PB&J Smoothie


Taking you right back to your childhood when Saturday mornings consisted of sitting around in your pjs and watching cartoons, this smoothie is a hit for adults and children alike.  Combining the classic flavors of peanut butter and jelly, this is a sweet yet healthy treat to start your day with!


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium banana
  • ¼ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup Raspberry Peach A.M. Tea
  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries or strawberries
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Brew Raspberry Peach A.M. tea and set aside to cool. 
  2. Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. This recipe yields 1 serving. 
  3. In a microwave safe bowl soften a small amount of peanut butter for about 30 seconds.  Drizzle on top of the smoothie. 

Raspberry Date Smoothie


Dates are a perfect natural sweetener to kick start your day with.  This smoothie is packed with fruits and vegetables, providing you with a healthy serving of essential vitamins. 


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup Raspberry Peach A.M. Tea
  • 3 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 scoop of protein powder of your choice
  • 1 heaping cup spinach, baby kale or a mixture of the two
  • 3 large pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 ¼ cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 3 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 ¼ cup ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Brew Raspberry Peach A.M. tea and set aside to cool.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to the blender in the order listed above. 
  3. Blend on medium speed for 30-45 seconds, or until combined well and smooth.
  4. Pour into a glass and serve, this recipe makes about 2 large smoothies or 3 medium sized smoothies.
